Maryland 4-H VolunteersIn your role as a Maryland 4-H volunteer, you have the opportunity to be a teacher, leader, mentor and role model for Maryland youth in your community. It is a challenge to design learning experiences in an informal, fun way that will motivate Maryland 4-H members to make their best better. Participation in 4-H volunteer training, meetings or conferences will help you to more fully understand 4-H. Your Extension 4-H Educators can provide you with additional resources, answer questions or provide assistance to help you and your 4-H members "MAKE THE BEST BETTER."
What Does 4-H Mean To Me? "4-H means commitment, responsibility, friendships and a purpose in live. 4-H was some of my wonderful memories in my teens. I loved my animals and everything that went into my showing. It makes you a better person by your responsibilities in life. The problem with the kids today, they don’t have enough to do so it’s easy to get into the wrong crowd and go astray."
