Maryland 4-H Military Program
The United States Department of Agriculture, Cooperative State Research Education and Extension System, has developed partnerships with the Army, Air Force, and Navy to support military youth and family around the world. In Maryland, 4-H extension professionals work with military staff, both active duty and reserve, in Maryland, Korea and Europe to provide strong programs so that military men and women can pursue their critical, high risk assignments knowing that their children are in safe and nurturing environments. Currently, the Maryland 4-H Military program is fundraising so that a state-wide 4-H Military Youth Camp can be established.
Sponsorship needed for Maryland 4-H Military Projects Summer Camping Program.
Maryland 4-H is planning a summer camping experience for Military Kids across Maryland.
Youth need opportunities to learn and develop during out of school time, especially during the summer. The 4-H camping program provides opportunities for focus on positive youth development programming in a safe, healthy and friendly environment for constructive learning and socialization.
Youth and Adults often remember and treasure memories from 4-H camping experiences. Help a child from a military family make a memory to cherish by supporting the Maryland 4-H Military Projects Summer Camping Program.
